We are glad and excited that you are deciding to be a part of the First Pentecostal Church (FPC) family! Having that said, we would love to connect with you and help you desire to grow in the Lord. Below you will find ways how we go with our discipling plan. Like yourself, our goal is to help you grow in your spiritual life and fulfill what God has called you to do for His kingdom.  

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT 

Having a relationship with God is foundational to being a disciple. For example, in Matthew 6, Jesus’ disciples asked Him to “teach us [how] to pray.” Therefore, it is imperative we know how to pray and teach to establish a prayer life. (See other references that talk about prayer; Colossians 4:2; Philippians 4:6). Also, in Acts 2:42-43, the disciples stayed steadfastly in prayer; signs and wonders followed.

YOU ARE CALLED 

Disciple comes from a disciple maker, and becoming a disciple of Jesus, He commissions us to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). Therefore, we must go and do likewise. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). The fields are white and ready to be harvested, and Jesus is looking for those willing to be sent (Luke 10:1-12).
